Eva R. Lewis
Executive Director Eva R. Lewis served as the Northeast Regional Director for the Association of Democratic State Committees (ASDC) at the Democratic National Committee (DNC) advising and building the groundwork for Democratic State Parties to win up and down the ballot. Prior to the DNC, Eva served as the Political Director for the Maryland Democratic Party building and implementing statewide political programs and managing the Party’s political relationships with local committees, candidates and organizations. She has worked many years as an attorney, grassroots organizer and political operative building coalitions and increasing political engagement.
Eva is a proud resident of Prince George’s County. She graduated from Spelman College in Atlanta, GA and Northwestern University School of Law in Chicago, IL. When not engaging the community, Eva enjoys performing improv comedy in the Washington, DC area.
Jamie Conway
Jamie is the Fundraising Director for the Maryland Democratic Party. He is in charge of ensuring the Party has the necessary funds to carry out its goals. He started at the Party as an intern. He then came on staff as the Finance Assistant, then the Finance Associate, before heading the department. Prior to this, he interned for Congressman Steny Hoyer.
Jamie was born and raised in Annapolis. He graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a bachelor’s degree in Government & Politics.
Outside of work, Jamie’s hobbies include skiing, traveling, and working on his 1989 BMW.

Morgan Murphy
Morgan currently serves as Director of Operations. In this capacity, she oversees day to day operations and logistics, as well as federal and state campaign compliance.
Morgan also served the Party as Operations Director for the 2018 Maryland Coordinated Campaign. She previously worked for DC Vote and the ACLU of DC, where she did grassroots organizing and lobbied for D.C. statehood and voting rights.
Morgan is originally from Southern California and holds a Bachelors’ degree in Criminology from Florida State University. She moved to D.C. in 2006 and earned a Juris Doctorate from University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law.
In her spare time, Morgan enjoys abstract painting, cooking, and talking politics.

Michael Bayrd
Michael serves as MDP’s Political & Organizing Director. In this role, he oversees and executes the statewide organizing program. This includes the direct management of the organizing staff by providing goals and supervising their activities. Additionally, he directly interfaces with MDP’s State Central Committee, Executive Committee, Diversity Leadership Councils, as well as a number of the party’s working committees. In this role he acts as the liaison between DSCC, Executive Committee, and MDP by providing updates, answering questions, in addition to planning and staffing meetings. Michael works closely with our local clubs and grassroots organizations to help expand the Party’s goals in organizing and building the Party’s infrastructure.
Before joining the Party, Michael worked on Chris Van Hollen’s Senate Primary campaign which led to him working as a Field Organizer for the 2016 Maryland Coordinated Campaign. After the Coordinated Campaign, Michael worked with MDP, full time, as an statewide organizer to start the states first year round field program. During the 2018 election cycle, he served as a Regional Field Director for State Senator Rich Madaleno’s Gubernatorial primary bid. Before returning to the party, Michael served as the GOTV Director for the Tennessee Coordinated Campaign in 2018.
Michael is a Prince George’s County native and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland, College Park in Government & Politics.

Tyler Carr
Zachary Holman
Zack Holman serves as the Maryland Democratic Party’s Communications Director. In this role, he oversees strategic messaging and press outreach.
Zack started his political career with Maine Governor Janet Mills, where he worked as a Personal and Press Assistant, and spent time on Capitol Hill in Senator Angus King’s office. During the 2020 Presidential campaign cycle, he served as the Maine Communications Director for Michael Bloomberg’s Presidential campaign, and National Press Advance Lead for Senator Kamala Harris’s Presidential campaign.
In his spare time, Zack enjoys being outside (especially when cold enough to ski), good food, and good dogs, too.

Shailee Bruck
Shailee Bruck serves as a Digital Manager for the Maryland Democratic Party working to build the Party’s digital presence. Shailee started with the Party as a communications and digital intern. Prior to joining the Party, she interned for Congressman Alan Lowenthal (CA-47) on Capitol Hill and worked in the Maryland Athletics Media Relations Department where she focused on building the digital brand of the University of Maryland’s various athletic programs.
Shailee was raised in Silver Spring. She graduated from the University of Maryland with a bachelor’s degree in Communication and History.
In her free time, Shailee enjoys exercising, reading, and trying new recipes.

Justin Butler
Justin is the Deputy Organizing Director. He works on activating, mobilizing, and organizing volunteers.
A typical day for Justin includes: solving volunteers’ technical issues, calling local activist leaders, and preparing scripts, turfs, and lists for the day’s field activities.
