TODAY @ 11:45AM: Jealous, Peña-Melnyk, Food & Water Watch, AFSCME, MSEA, and SEIU to Call on Hogan to Oppose Kavanaugh Nomination

Jul 13, 2018

Annapolis, MD TODAY, Friday, July 13, 2018 at 11:45am, former National President & CEO of the NAACP Ben Jealous and Delegate Joseline Peña-Melnyk will join Food & Water Watch, SEIU, AFSCME and MSEA to call on Larry Hogan to stand up for Maryland against Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to serve on the Supreme Court.

More than 72 hours after Donald Trump’s announcement, Hogan has not opposed Judge Kavanaugh, who has a long record as an Anti-ChoiceAnti-Environment Anti-Worker activist judge.

Despite the impact a conservative Supreme Court could have on civil rights, women’s rights, and workers’ rights in Maryland, this week, Hogan said fighting back against Kavanaugh’s nomination is a “Washington issue,” not a “Maryland issue.”
