Yvette Lewis is no stranger to politics. She worked in the campaigns of Bill Clinton, Al Gore, Steny Hoyer, Kweisi Mfume, John Kerry, Governor Martin O’Malley and of course President Barack Obama. As a grassroots organizer she canvassed, phone banked and registered hundreds of voters. She served as First Vice Chair and Chair of the Maryland Democratic Party. She was also co-chair of the Martin O’Malley Presidential campaign and currently serves as the co-chair of the Chris Van Hollen Senate campaign. At the DNC, she is past Secretary of the Association of State Democratic Chairs (ASDC) and past member, ASDC Voter Co Op File Board. She is currently At Large and a member of the African American Caucus and the Women’s Caucus. In addition, she serves on the National Finance Committee, the Advisory Board of the Sojourner Circle and was just recently appointed to the Credentials Committee for the 2016 National Convention.
Yvette serves on the White House Commission on Presidential Scholars appointed by President Barack Obama in 2010. She is the President of All About the Vote, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
