Glen Middleton was first elected as delegate to the Democratic National Convention in 1988 as a Jessie Jackson delegate, then in 1992 as a Clinton delegate and again in 1996 for President Clinton. Middleton was originally elected to the DNC in 2000 and was given the Maryland Democratic Leadership Award. Since 1990 he has served as Executive DIrector of Maryland Public Employees Council 67, AFSCME, representing 15,000 public and private-sector employees throughout the state. In addition, Middleton serves as President of the Baltimore Municipal Employees Local 44, AFSCME. He advocates every day for fair wages and fair treatment of workers and maintains the important connection between organized labor and the Democratic Party.
