2004 Democratic National Convention PARTY!!  

Dear Fellow Democrats, We are just a little more than a week away from the kick-off of the 2004 Democratic National Convention. For those who are not journeying to Boston, don't fret, a special "Democratic Convention Night Party" is planned right here in Prince George's County, beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday evening, July 29, 2004, the final night of the convention and the evening when John Kerry formally accepts the Democratic Nomination for President! Join us for beverages, munchies, political chat, and plain old fashioned fun in our own "convention center." We are making arrangements to participate in a national conference call that evening direct from the Boston Convention site, featuring Senator John Edwards, who will be our Democratic Vice Presidental nominee by that evening. Then we will watch and cheer John Kerry's accepatance speech on a large-screen television! The party will be held at the easily accessible Greenbriar Community Center, 7600 Hanover Parkway (at the intersection of Greenbelt Road and Hanover Parkway). So mark your calendars today! A $5.00 donation per person (children under 12 free) would be appreciated to help defray costs. EVERYONE is asked to bring a favorite snack or munchie to share. Also, dig out those wild and edgy shirts, the outrageous hats, and other political paraphenalia and come prepared to have a full evening of FUN! To help us plan, an RSVP is a must!
